SENSATIONAL SATURDAY

Well, here we are...Memorial Day weekend, the official start of the summer season.  Time has been flying by.  It is true that the older we get, the faster time goes.  Speaking of old, Happy Birthday greetings go out to my old pal, Sheila, who is 55 today.  I can't tell her she is old because she will remind me that I am older (true).  I hope she has a wonderful day. Just wish I could be there to wish her a Happy in person.

I am looking forward to Monday and Tuesday which will be momentous and terrific and I will be painting.  I have 2 new additions for my blog which I hope to post soon and who knows, maybe more from Monday and Tuesday.  I have been trying to learn how to paint roses  using Ros Stallcup techniques and so far it has been pretty dismal. I will keep trying.  Her rose technique is amazing - wish me luck!

Now on a somber note...this is Memorial Day weekend and I will stop and take a moment and think of those near and dear who have given their lives for their country.

TEPID TUESDAY

Wow...it is almost May!  Where has the time gone?  We have been having a hot one today. The A/C is on and I am staying cool.  I have added a few new pieces recently.  Painting time is very precious and I am enjoying every millisecond.  The most recent piece, Ghosties and Ghoulies incorporates an old Scottish saying that I have been thinking about using for 39 years!  The photo does not do it justice and I will try getting a better picture tomorrow (if time allows).  Hope you all are staying cool/warm and firming up summer plans.  For all the Moms out there, a very Happy Mother's in 12 days!  Moms rock the world!

THOROUGH THURSDAY

Good morning fellow bloggers!  The end of the work week is almost upon us, relief is in sight for most.  I will be working this weekend at my regular job--in this economic climate I am happy to have a job.   The weather here has turned chilly but I am sure by mid April we will be well into the warm weather.  The gardens are blooming, grass is growing, and the birds and bees are chirping and buzzing.   Anyway...I have added a few new pieces with many more on the horizon.  Inspiration does not seem to be a problem but time is in short supply.  As I have mentioned before, quite a few of the pieces are one-of-a-kind (OOAK).  Feel free to ask any questions about any of my painted/knitted pieces.  I have been having a problem with being able to make the photos larger and will continue to work on that issue.  In the interim, on the bottom of the screen is a magnfier with a + 100% and this can help make the page/photo larger.  I would be more than willing to e-mail larger photos if anyone desires this. Also as far as my email address, that can be accessed by going to my profile and clicking on email.  Thanks again for checking in with me and I hope you all have a Thorough Thursday!

MARCH MADNESS MONDAY

Well, here we are...almost at the mid point of March.  March madness has set in for sure.  Always seems like the rush is on this time of year, and I guess it is.  Mother Nature has been working overtime down here waking up the earth and blasting away with all kinds of wonderful colors.  After the drabness of winter, it is always such as joy to see color and lots of it.  We bought and planted 4 blueberry bushes  and pansies this weekend.  The crocus, daffodils, forsythia and Siberian squills are blossoming with red tulips and grape hyancinths not too far behind.  I say bring it on!

Hope everyone has a wonderful and colorful day.

MARVELOUS MONDAY

This has been a marvelous Monday.  We have been entertaining wonderful old friends from Downeast Maine.  Haven't seen them in years and it was just like old times.  They are on their way back to Maine after being in Florida for a month or so and stopped by on the trek North.  Had a wonderful time and already look forward to the next time!

Hope you all have had a marvelous Monday as well.

FINICKY FRIDAY

Well....Thanks to Sheila of Country Impressions walking me through the process and thanks to Tammy of Twin Creek Primitives....I think I am almost done with setting up my blog!  I still need to add PayPal and the prices (and a few more pictures) and then woohoo...done and I can get back to painting.  This is finicky Friday because I reversed the order of some of the pictures with the blog part....Another sunny day here, but a little cooler but things are budding out.   I better get back to work. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
